Constructiv is a federation of five service organizations for the construction industry. These organizations represent both employers’ organizations (Construction Confederation, Construction Union, FeMa) as labor unions (ACV BIE, AC-ABVV, ACLVB).
Constructiv offers to the construction industry services, training and advice on a variety of topics, such as prevention, safety, social security and pensions.
Thanks to its unified and positive exposure, Constructiv can contribute to a better image for the construction industry, which provides a particular attractive range of social benefits and services.
Role of our team
Xedis helped Constructiv to plan, implement and monitor the migration from the SQL Server 2008 R2 to SQL Server 2016.
We compare this job with the well-known riddle of the man who had to cross a river in a very small boat with 3 possessions: a fox, a chicken and a sack of grain... However, instead of just three variables (fox, chicken, grain), the scope of this project was quite more challenging since it encompassed:
- a few hundred databases;

about 50 applications and platforms (SSRS, Sharepoint, BizTalk);

7 application owners;

10+ external suppliers.
Next to facilitating the SQL Server, we also contributed to:

optimizing the (security) configuration of the helpdesk tool (MantisBT);

monitoring and developing some operational dashboards;

optimizing the configurations.
